Diabetes, 24,000 avoidable deaths every year

A shocking report published today by the NHS Information Centre hi-lights, every year in England 24,000 people die needlessly due to complications of diabetes.
According to the report, people aged 15 to 34 with diabetes have the highest mortality risk, and are dying too early due to poor management of their condition.

Going for regular health checks, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking diabetic medication properly will all help with managing diabetes, but unfortunately with teenagers and young adults attending regular health checkups and leading a healthy life style is not top of the agenda.

The shocking findings of this report will hopefully alert everyone with diabetes the importance of regular health checks and seeking help to manage their condition should they be unsure what to do.
